A while ago I reviewed a few makeup products from The Body Shop and this Insta Blur was one of them.
I decided to give new review on the item but more in-depth.
What is it?
The Insta Blur All-in-one 5-Action Perfector is a face primer. According to The Body Shop, the primer can do the following:
- Provides 12 hour shine control
- Hide blemishes
- Blur pores
- Mattifies your skin
- Extends the wear of makeup
- Smoothes and evens your skin
Smell
I’m glad this face primer doesn’t smell like anything because sometimes makeup can STINK!
Texture
I don’t like the texture. When I squeeze some of the primer out, it falls off my skin. Because of this I’ve lost a lot of product when using this primer.
How to Use
You simply squeeze a bit out (as much as you need, so it depends) and then you apply to areas where you need to minimise shine, shrink pores, etc. or all over your face.
Packaging
The primer is in a small, thin plastic tube with a cap you must unscrew.

Pros
- Reduces shine by mattifying my skin
- Blurs my pores a bit
Cons
- A bit expensive
- Makes my skin look a bit dry once applied and added foundation above it
- Doesn’t ensure my foundation holds as long as it should
- Doesn’t hide blemishes
- Bad texture
My Thoughts
As I retested this face primer, I noticed that it made subtle blurring effects to my skin. (As shown in the side by side images above) However, it didn’t even out my skin and it feels very oily when applied to my face. I also feel it doesn’t make my makeup last longer and can make my face look a bit dry.
This can be worn as is or under your foundation, cc cream, BB cream or whatever you wear on your skin. Maybe just do a test in the store before buying it.Β
